End of Catalog Workshop

Today I took a workshop class with my fabulous Upline, Donna Ross. She is just a wealth of information and inspiration for me. These are the cards that we made in the workshop.

I also have been playing around with the pastels and found a lovely website that demonstrates how to make this adorable card at

Isn't it adorable! Unfortunately this stamp set will be retiring, but I think you could use this technique with tons of different images.

Anniversary Card

With some upcoming workshops scheduled, I've been busy trying to come up with some new ideas as well as borrowing inspiration from others to share in my workshops. Here are a couple of cards/projects that I will be teaching in my workshops:

We will be making the card on the right.

I think these little "Pillow Boxes" are perfect party favors, or perfect for giving a gift card. Why buy a box to give a gift card in when you can make your own and personalize it!

My 19th wedding anniversary is also coming up on June 30th, so I thought I'd attempt a special card for my husband. Now I'm no artist, but I enjoyed attempting to paint his favorite flower -- a Calla Lilly.

Working with new Techniques

Today my focus was to work using new techniques. Take this card for instance.

I stamped a piece of vellum with Versamark, and then used black embossing powder. After I heated the embossing powder, I used my blender pens and the Bold Brights Watercolor Wonder crayons. It was very satisfying to color again. I brought out the child in me. I then turned the vellum piece over before adhering it to the card stock.

I'm also working on a project using the blender pens and the pastels. I can't decide exactly how I want to put the card together, so I won't show it tonight. But here are some other cards I've made in the past few weeks to display in my workshops.

I love playing with origami, and this card gave me the opportunity to combine three of my favorite things: 1) origami, 2) stamping, and 3) card making.

The inside of this card says "Got Bird?"

So Excited!

I am so excited to start on this new venture, and I welcome any of you to join me as I create cards, gifts and possibly some scrap book pages. I am constantly inspired by the many talented people out there, and I hope through some of my own creations that you will also be inspired. As I am constantly in need of inspiration fuel, please feel free to drop me a line and direct me to check out your blog, or send me pictures of your creations.

Okay, a little background. I recently became a Stampin' Up Demonstrator and can't even tell you how much fun I have been having the last few weeks. I held my first two workshops this past week and found that yes, others enjoyed this craft as much as I do. One lady so much, in fact, that I think she may also decide to sign up as a Demonstrator. Although I won't try to post all of the cards I've made in the last few weeks, I will post my most recent creations, and/or my favorites. I am more than happy to share any techniques. Almost all of the materials used are from Stampin' Up, but not all. The simple fact that I am a new Demonstrator and am still building my stock explains my limited supply, but it also gives me a chance to use up my miscellaneous stock.

If you are interested in seeing what items Stampin' Up has to offer, don't hesitate to browse my Stampin' Up website at . Okay, here goes.

Okay, that is enough photos for now. I certainly don't want to overload the system with ALL of the cards I've been making, but I'll slowly add them as I go. Thanks for visiting.
